Butter Yums Cookies
A perfect holiday melt-in-your mouth treat.

1 1/2 cups butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 teaspoons baking powder
5 cups flour
2 teaspoons salt
1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups powdered sugar


Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla and lemon juice.

In a separate bowl, mix dry ingredients together.

Combine dry ingredients into wet and mix well.

Chill dough one hour.

Roll dough out 1/4-inch thick and cutout with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for six to eight minutes— do not brown.

Cool and frost with cream cheese icing and decorate as desired.
