Andy Cheshire

Andy Cheshire, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of instruction at the University of Texas at Austin, sports nutrition researcher and former head varsity football coach. Andy’s interest in sports performance began in high school through his own preparation as a multi-sport athlete. He went on to earn bachelor’s degrees in psychology and health and exercise science at the University of Oklahoma while serving as a research assistant in the Sport Nutrition and Body Composition Laboratory.

Jessica Crandall, RDN, CDE

Jessica Crandall is the General Manager at Denver Wellness and Nutrition Center-Sodexo where she manages a team of dietitians who focus on fulfilling the diverse nutritional needs of the community. She also visits numerous doctors’ offices providing them with nutritional services as well as hospital based outpatient programs assisting them in program development for nutritional counseling services.

Scott Sehnert, MS, RD, CSCS, CSSD

When this blog was published, Scott Sehnert was named the Dallas Cowboys director of sports performance leading into the 2016 season. In his role, Sehnert works closely with the athletic trainers and strength and conditioning coaches in developing player-specific nutrition and recovery plans.

Sehnert came to Dallas after spending the previous seven years as the sports dietitian at Auburn University. Sehnert oversaw the sports nutrition needs for AU’s 21 varsity sports, including nutrition education, counseling, training tables, body composition analysis and supplement evaluation.

Norm Dinis is a first-generation U.S. citizen whose father, Jack, moved to the U.S. from Azores, a small group of islands in the North Atlantic Ocean. Jack grew up dairy farming on the tiny islands, immigrated to Toronto, Canada when he was 17 and worked various jobs until he decided to sell everything he owned to move to Colorado. There, he joined a cousin who was milking cows. Eventually, when his son Norm had graduated from high school, Jack bought a dairy farm of his own.

Taylor Lile, M.S., RDN, CSSD, LD

Taylor Lile is a sports dietitian experienced at working with collegiate, professional and tactical athletes. Her interest in sports nutrition began in high school through her own experience as an athlete seeing how diet impacted her performance. At the University of Oklahoma, she was a sports nutrition volunteer with the football team, while earning her bachelor’s degree in nutritional sciences.
