Ingredients

Waffles

  • 1 batch waffle batter, prepared according to package directions (1 average batch makes 5-6, 7-inch waffles)
  • 1 cup cooked old-fashioned rolled oats, prepared according to package directions
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

Toppings

  • 5 medium bananas (*each waffle will have about ½ banana, sliced)
  • 2 ¼ cups sliced fresh strawberries
  • 4 teaspoons powdered sugar
  • 6 tablespoons chocolate syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron.
  2. Prepare waffle batter according to package directions. Add in 1 cup of cooked old-fashioned rolled oats (cooked according to package directions), along with granulated sugar and cinnamon. Stir well to mix.
  3. Spray preheated waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray. Pour batter onto hot waffle iron and cook until golden brown. Set aside (keep warm, if possible).
  4. To top your waffles, lightly dust each waffle with powdered sugar (about ½ teaspoon per waffle). Then drizzle with chocolate syrup (about 2 teaspoons per waffle), and top with sliced bananas and strawberries.
