Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey (or ground beef)
  • 6 ounces low-fat plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ⅓ cup onion, diced
  • ⅓ cup green pepper, diced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • 4 ounces Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup pasta/tomato sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F.
  2. Combine first 9 ingredients in a large bowl and mix by hand until well combined.
  3. Form into loaf shape and place on baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
  4. Melt butter in a small bowl.
  5. Add cheese and breadcrumbs and mix well.
  6. Press breadcrumb mixture onto top and sides of loaf to form crust.
  7. Bake for 40 minutes or until loaf reaches 165° F.
  8. Serve with pasta sauce for dipping.
