Ingredients

  • 2 pounds frozen hash brown potatoes, preferably Southern Style
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 (10¾-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • Salt to taste, approximately ½ teaspoon
  • 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 8 ounces (1 cup) sour cream
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions
  • 1 cup cornflake crumbs
  • ¼ cup melted butter

Instructions

Thaw potatoes. Preheat oven to 350°F. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a 13x9-inch pan. Mix potatoes with next six ingredients; pour in pan. Bake about 45 minutes. Remove from oven; top with cornflake crumbs and drizzle with melted butter. Return to oven to bake 15 minutes more.
