3 Good-for-You Gourmet Pizza Recipes

Pizza is one of the most loved foods in the U.S. – but did you know it can be healthy too?

If you start with a whole-wheat crust, use low-fat mozzarella cheese and choose vegetable, fruit and/or lean proteins for toppings, it can include all five food groups recommended by MyPlate. We say the more healthy toppings, the better!

If you have picky eaters in your house, pizza is a great way to get some healthy vegetables in their diets – along with the nutrition of cheese and whole grains. Serve with a glass of milk and you have a balanced meal the family will really love.
